10 Year Old Country Music Prodigy Sadie McClendon will kick-off the musical events for Cypress Sawmill Festival, 5PM on Friday evening. She has performed onstage with Country Superstar Jamey Johnson, and even songwriting legend John Prize gave her a shout-out during a recent concert in Alabama, stating how much he loved her version of “Angel From Montgomery”. Sadie McClendon has been entertaining listeners young and old since she was 8 years old. Originally from Tuscaloosa, Alabama, Sadie made her Nashville Debut on the stage of Honly Tonk Central. That same day she was invited to perform on the main stage of Tootsies, which she did, for several hours! Skilled beyond her years on guitar, mandolin, and ukulele, now newly 10 year-old Sadie inspires audiences with her love of traditional and outlaw country music infused with her own unique vocal style. Sadie is a regular set player at Rippy’s and Tootsies in Nashville. The youngest member of The Last Honky Tonk Music Series, look for Sadie at venues across the US in 2018! This performance is also in conjunction with the Road To 3rd Street – Songs on The Bayou Songwriters Festival.
